Good evening guys,
I would like to add a CCV pressure test to my 6.0 engine tests.
I have the tool here, I will order a pressure gauge 0-40mbar.
What I don't understand about the test is that the test adapter has a hole on the top. Logically, pressure escapes through this hole. How should the crankcase pressure be displayed on the pressure gauge if the pressure can escape through the top hole?
Does anyone have any information about the test?
Thank you.
It's an orifice, so it acts as a pressure regulator. You are measuring a percentage of the CCV pressure, not the total it can have if it was a closed system.
ok, thanks Jack. I only knew tools like this one, which is pressed directly onto the dipstick tube.
However, the crankcase ventilation remains unclosed.
