Adding Led Lighting to my Power Steps

Let me start off by saying , I do not have the frame mounted connector under my truck to add led lighting from the factory. I have a 2022 F350 Lariat Ultimate that did not come with power steps. I added them about 3 months ago. Now, I would like to add led strips that will be mounted near the pinch weld under the doors. However, I can not figure where to wire them into so that they only operate when the power steps operate. Has anyone done this before or can point me in the right direction ?

Check out this thread, there are links to a kit that does what you're wanting to do: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...rd-lights.html

Here's another thread that identifies where the plug resides under the door sill in the cab: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...install-2.html

Good luck, let us know how it goes!

Thanks for the info Joe. I already have the led strips I am looking to use, so the F150 lighting kit doesnt work for me. Also, it looks like that kit comes on with unlocking the door. Would rather mine only work when door is open. But it looks like the more I look the less that is going to happen. lol

I do not have the plugs under the front door sills either. The space they should be in, is there. But they are not.
