Best Docs For C-4 Rebuild
Cheap or free would be wonderful.
Figured I'd ask here first for the broad knowledge base before hitting trans forum.
Subject is a 73 vintage formerly backing a 302.
To be coupled with stock 95 truck 5.8 eventually.
Tool/tricks appreciated.

In a perfect world, but this roadkill level stuff.
Just want to crack it open, evaluate, refresh & replace. No alterations. Everything reconnects 100%.
Get correct flex plate & maybe something with converter after I have some other info.
It's never going to see a track or haul a load.

Might try a digital. Pretty sure anything else is based off the ATSG stuff like Haynes & "How to rebuild..." manuals.

Subject is a 73 Mach1 (correct vin) base model that clapped out in 86 & hit by tornado in 92.
Second owner since 7//7/77. A fight with my city means it's turned into my own personal barn find taking up 50% of room in my shop.
Peg-leg 8" with leaking welds as 8s are wont to do. 135hp 302. Does have the "good" steering box, screw-in A-arm bushings & staggered shocks.
Has turned into Flintstone special. 302 is locked & not worth saving. C4 stopped motivating so long ago I forgot what it was doing that put it up on jacks.
Just remember it wasn't catastrophic.
I have a 95 5.8 I recently pulled that looks fine so far.
I rehab the C4, drop in the 5.8 with a basic truck SD EFI ( I gots plenty parts) & go.
In the words of St. Dave the Homeless... "Don't make it perfect, just make it run"
