Distribution Block

Would anyone have or know where I could get a distribution block for my 1954 truck. It mounts under hood by the horn relay on passenger side. It has 3 terminals and wires from circuit breakers under the dash run to it and then branch off to stater solenoid etc. Had the wire that runs from under dash on circuit breaker to block burn up to it then burnt wire that branched off it to positive side on starter solenoid burnt too. Wiring harness is oem new and truck has been upgraded to 12 volts years ago. This was only wire in harness that got hot and burned so was wanting to replace distribution block when I rewire. Sorry I have posted early but don't think I was clear of problem. Thanks

The original part number is 8W-14448. Ford superceded with the C8TZ-14448-A and finally DOHZ-14448-E. The composition changed, but are functionally equivalent.

I want to Thank bmoran4 for the parts numbers. I ran all 3 through www.rearcounter.com and the only one I got a hit on was the D0HZ-14448-E
If you want more info go to www.rearcounter.com and put the part number in the search field. Then after you click search it will show who has them and their contact information.

I hope it works out for you!

Just out of curiosity, why would power be going from the block to the solenoid? Don't these use power from the starter button to energize?

I'm not sure if this answers any questions, but it's from the chassis parts catalog. It doesn't show what terminals are involved on the solenoid/ distribution block wiring, but could the power be coming from the solenoid, then branching off through the distribution block, rather than to it?

Ross the burnt wire went from the circuit breaker H terminal under dash then traveled the link of the wire to terminal on distribution box and then the other wire that legged of of it went to starter solenoid and burnt that one too. None of the other wires were hurt.

Something in the circuit breaker must be shorting to ground.
