I'm doing a full restmod on a 1970 f100: ifs, 4- link, coyote, 6r80, ... and the only ebrake part I have is the cab mounted foot actuator. Looking at the Ford parts diagram there's a good handful of stuff: cables, clips/brackets, brackets and parts to make the oem system to work.
is my best option to piece this together the oem system or an aftermarket system that would be better: easier to install, more cost effective (lol), and work better?
Which rear disc kit are you using? I have the Master Power rear disc kit which uses Mustang calipers and it works perfect with the original e brake pedal that came with the truck.
They are a single piston, I believe they are a GM caliper. It was a 9" disc conversion kit I bought.
I believe I could use the stock f100 parts but the issue is that I don't have any of the parts, I'd need to buy every part to make it work. Not knowing intimately WHAT I need is part of the challenge, and the cost of the individual parts will add up. I don't find anyone selling a complete OEM style kit, which would make this much easier.
The other option was to find an aftermarket kit that would work with the f100 foot actuator. was hoping someone here might have gone through this.
