Hey I have son n law's '96 F250 4WD in the shop & I noticed this truck aint got no Pull Hooks on the front! So I thought I might just install some but uppon closer inspection I don't see no place to install any! What yall do to get pull hooks on these trucks? This is a diesel truck so it's got the diesel bumper on it. I also need the rubber splash shield that goes between the bumper & radiator support but I think I'm on my own for that.
Thanks!
I carry a 6 foot version of this, a 30' rigging strap and a log chain.
They also make these with straps instead of chains.
I've never used the V bridle, and I've never had to pull my F150 out.
Theoretically, with the V bridle, you could put 4" dunnage across the frame, behind the front bumper, to keep pressure off the bumper.
When I had a plow truck, I had to pull it out a few times, usually from the rear.
I've pulled one other plow truck from the front using the rigging strap, but every other vehicle I've pulled out, has been from the rear.
Thanks Tom- this was xactly what I was looking for as it gets the pull point below the bumper! I gotta go check again but the photo shows a good bit of frame in front of the spring & I'm pretty sure this trucks spring comes almost to end of frame. On another note the truck in your avitar is the spitin image color & all of son n law's truck I am working on!
Ive seen towhooks from ford on a Bronco before. Im not sure if the 250 has the same frame setup, but the later Bronco, and F150's has the crush section on the front frame horns, and you really want to mount the hooks behind that on the solid part of the frame.

No. Only 1/2T trucks (Bronco, F-150) had the front frame crush zone.
