So I installed for the 3rd time new injectors in my 2011 5.0 lariat and I’m getting an excessive crank even after purging the system multiple times. But the moment I put my old injectors in the problem of excessive cranking goes away. All injectors are from the same company. I’m at a loss for words and can’t figure it out. No leaks to the injectors. Fuel pump seems to be priming itself. I replaced them originally because I replaced the engine due to low compression in cylinder 3 in original engine. So I figured I’d replace the injectors. Put the first replacement set in and it did the same thing so I out my old ones back in and the problem went away. I contacted the company to have them send me a replacement set. Figured an injector was loosing pressure. Put the second set in yesterday, primed the system. started right up, Now all of a sudden I’m getting an excessive crank. Anyone else been having this problem?
I was gonna tear into it after I got off work and over the weekend, it drives fine going down the road it’s just initial start up that’s when the problem occurs. Only when the engine cools down for about 10-20 minutes then does it again but if I shut it off then start right away starts just fine. So it’s gotta be an injector losing pressure. Just can’t believe it’s been two sets back to back!
