That's exactly where I am at this point. 260k on my '14, 5.0.
Likely going to tackle it in couple months. Investment worth it considering cost of replacing truck with newer.

2012 5.0 Lariat 161K miles - Had it throw a P0722 code (output shaft speed sensor) - Lead Frame just replaced and fixed the low power trans was producing. This is a known issue with the 6R80 Trans in Fords. Can be done by anyone mechanically inclined and takes about 4 hours. Replace all gaskets if you do so while you are at it. Costs for all parts is about $350. You can go Dorman or OEM. Do a search on youtube for F150 Lead Frames and there are a few good videos showing exactly how and what needs to be done. Unfortunately I travel a lot for work and didn't have time so paid a local place. Bill was $1500 (dude was honest but a little pricy)
I was unable to find oem lead frame amonth ago. The doorman is doing well.
Also had speed sensor code.
for what its worth the lead frame if tripping speed sensor falls under a safety recall. ford will do bandaid recalibration then if that doesnt fix it theyl do the lead frame on theyre dime.
Might be worth. checking out.
I elected to do mine myself over hassling with ford. Cost me 400 bucks. I dont trust dealer techs well most techs in general but thats just me.

I like the truck. But it has rusting cab corners. Is it worth fixing?
I like the no payment as opposed to a newer one., which may have the same issue, without the rust.
