According to the manual there are spare circuits in the BCM at 4(20A), 25(20A),27(30A) and 35(5A) for 2022 F250. Does anyone know if there are wires attached to these spare circuits that are accessible inside the cab that can be used to add accessories? There are also circuits with fuses and power for options I do not have, such as the moonroof, that may be used for the same? Any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
So, nobody has any idea of a circuit that can be tapped into in the cab coming drone the BCM? An accessory one or run/ start? Seems odd that there isn’t some provision for one.
My guess is the question is one not many have an answer to. Does the Upfitter Guide have any info like you're looking for? I would suspect the wiring harness is (may be) the same and have the wires that dead end in a connector that those circuits are supposed to plug into (that you don't have). Don't see why it couldn't be done.
I added connectors to our dirtbike ECU's to enable adding an ECU controlled cooling fan that other models had that ours didn't. It was a mod I was nervous about but has worked just like factory. Doing something along those lines (I think that's different than what you are talking about) to my truck that's under warranty wouldn't be something I'd be comortable with, mostly from the fear of having a warranty claim potentially denied.
This question is complicated by the BCM programming for each vehicle. The circuit may be controlled by the BCM (not always hot) and nobody knows these details. A wiring diagram will show the wire colors and you can test them. But these diagrams are not free so not many DIY mechanics have them.
