4 low not engaging

4 low not engaging

4 hi works fine. 4 low not working, no 4x4 low light, new 4x4 motor and vacuum solenoid, I can manually move the transfer case in low with a wrench. Old and now new motor doesn’t move enough to engage the low position. In neutral and foot on brake. Honestly I can’t remember when the low part went out. The high gets used all the time.

tested the selector switch. #2-#3 pin had 600,270,130 ohms. 2h, 4h,4l.

How you turn that **** to 4lo, then put your transmission in a go gear and start out across the yard ... (or put the transmission into go, then turn the **** to 4lo, then lite out across the yard)? If the gears aren't alligned, the TC ain't gonna force them in mesh .... and until it actually gets into 4lo, that 4lo light ain't gonna light up.

Even with the TCM off of the TC the motor won’t go ccw that far to the 4low spot. I can turn it to the low position on the TC with my hand then get back into the truck and 4low works.

Hmm, will it crank in N? I wonder if your NSS/MLPS is acting up.

Yes, it started in neutral

Also the ABS/brake light is always on and abs pump runs continuously. Took the fuse out about a year ago. Does the ABS system have anything to do with the 4low motor not moving to 4 low?
