There is also a lot of ground moisture plus I didn't use the truck much so it sits there and rusts. I'm hoping the rust check I get sprayed on the car every year will help prevent the rust ..

I have a couple things to deal with on the Taurus.. None stop it from being used, just inconvenient. The driver window doesn't work, rear window defroster and I only have defrost in the front right now which is good since it is cold weather..

Could be the window switch, if you have access to some compressed air blow out the switch , could just be dust that is screwing up the contacts. I've had that happen a couple times..

What about your friend on your street you gave that car to, he should have a compressor..

Can't hurt..and it's worth the shot if it ends up being the problem. It was a mechanic that gave me the tip..
