SO I know someone who'll be removing their factory Sony system and I can have it if I want. So Id be interested in putting it m truck.....Hoping someone has done this and can provide insight on if its not a giant project and what may be needed?
My truck is an XLT premium with 7 speaker system and 8" screen
you obviously dont have any information to help with what I asked, so not sure why youre even posting on this thread so move along pal...... im not interested in your audio opinion thats not what i asked
Give these guys a shout out in regards to your swap. If any harness's or brackets are needed they will know and have them for purchase. They also have an awesome tech line too.
Post this in the Forscan thread relative to your model/year. I don't know the details for your newer truck, but older Fords with Sony systems had a separate amp (Sony Premium). There are settings in Forscan related to the Sony systems like number of speakers, external amp etc. but I don't remember if they only apply to the head unit. You may need to adjust these settings.
