Trailer plug reverse lug
Hey guys,
I haven't posted on here in a long time. I have a 2017 f250 XLT. I can't find any info on the exact thing I'm looking for. I have added some backup lights to my trailer. ran a wire to the center prong on my 7-pin plug. I'm not getting any power from it though. My fuse 84 under the hood is good. Its labeled trailer tow backup lamps. Is there a setting I need to change or a relay that I need to look at?

Recently added some backup lights to a trailer behind my 22 and ran into similar issues.
Where are you checking for 12v, at the female connector on truck? The truck may need to see a trailer plugged in before it sends 12v.

Fuse 48 is confirmed good. I took my plug apart on my trailer, and plugged it in so i could get to the back side and check with a meter. I get all my lights, 12v +, and brakes. Just no backup power and that's with the truck running and in gear while someone is holding the brake pedal. I'm wondering if there is something to activate it, like programming a trailer into it or something.
