Possible 5r110w automatic transmission issues
So I was recently driving my 05 f350 v10 downhill with cruise control at 55. The truck got up to 60, and then I felt a bit of a pull and the rpms went up. When I got to the bottom and cc started accelerating again, it shifted back up. Worried it may be slipping. Just changed the fluid about 700 miles ago. It's never had any issues until now. What could be wrong? BTW this happened with 550 pounds of payload in the bed. Could that have something to do with it? Should I have used tow haul?

If it were slipping when you were coasting the RPM would have gone down, not up.
What happened is that the computer commanded a downshift to control the speed in a downhill condition. That's normal operation, nothing is wrong.
