I have a front left turn signal problem. When using the blinker the right turn signal functions properly. I get the internal signal light on the dash and the external flashers flash. When I signal left, I got no internal dash light no external front lights flash, but the rear light flashes. Also you could hear the relay clicking rapidly. The under hood, Fuse 20 (Trailer Tow Stop/Turn LH) was blown, so I replaced it. I changed out the the front bulbs and I changed out the signal relay (That was fun).
Now the rapid clicking has gone away, but I still don't get flashing lights outside, or on my instrument panel.
What else can I check to see why I don't get these signal lights?
I had BAD ground leads on my truck with that problem.
Check each Signal Light ground wire, make sure the wire and terminal are clean of corrosion, and the metal is bright under the screw.
I also replaced that ( flasher relay, that digs grooves in your skin ) with an Electronic Flasher... and that thing is hard to get to...
and a tiny bit of this grease on the Terminal and frame grounds will help to keep them working good..... this is NOT Dialectric Grease ( that stuff is an Insulator )
I second checking for ground. I chased a gremlin for a month with my turn signals. Ended up being a ground wire melted into a harness connector and just barely not making a connection.
Check ground terminal resistance to ground(frame/bare metal) to start?
