@Yota4r

Whew!

FINALLY!

This is harder to do than it looks. All done in a 14 year old version of Microsoft Paint.

And, you can see why I chose to do the 2001 diagram first... because it conveys the concept cleaner, even if it doesn't match your GPCM.

The image below is specific to your application, but as published by Ford required referring to another diagram for the complete picture.

With those diagrams now combined below, you have the complete picture.

Wow!! I never knew it could make so much sense. Before these, I was lost. I had seen some diagrams before, but this really “dumbed it down” for me. Very clear. I didn’t realize so much was going on with that wire as you follow it down the line. I really truly can’t thank you enough. I can see why it needs to stay in place otherwise the whole thing doesn’t flow. I appreciate the time put into this and I know it’s gonna bring a better understanding to many others.

Im glad I made the post and learned what I did today, I almost made a horrible move trying to disconnect both ends of that wire. I’m feeling confident wrapping up this project tomorrow…much better than I was feeling yesterday, lol.

Well I tried to get this done for you yesterday, but as you can see, it isn't easy to get done quickly.

Whenever someone says "Don't do that"... what is the first natural instinct that we think of doing, ever since we were babies? Of course. Doing it. Trying it. Proving the precaution was wrong.

So sometimes it is more effective to put together some convincing, credible, third party evidence ahead of time before suggesting anything. Hence the silence yesterday.

More recently, I've been endeavoring to use more images and diagrams, instead of writing walls of words, which comes more natural to me.

Therefore, your project was an excuse to improve communication about an oft repeated question, by reducing the answer to a single frame.

Anything that needs to be understood or conveyed about a concept has to fit within 1,199 x 1,199 pixels. Your case was that guinea pig.
