Issue with Alternator
I replaced the alternator on my 2016 F150 XLT 2.7 with Ecoboost and I found on on Parts Geek. After I replaced it my ABS, Charging, Automatic Traction and emergency warning went on. I tried resetting the computer with no luck. Call Parts geek and they sent me a different replacement. Same thing but at least the charging light is off. Are these truck temperamental in which you have to actually replace with a Motorcraft OEM or is something else going on? Any help would be greatly appreciated. It was a challenge replacing twice I can't even imagine a third time.

It is a very good idea to purchase electrical parts from the vehicle maker Ford. Also, use a volts meter and test the alternator for voltage output while the engine is running and then at the battery as well, *it may be putting out the correct amount of volts and still be causing an electrical issue though.
I have one car that has a Autozone alternator (so the sticker reads on the alternator) in it but it is not their standard alternators that they sell. It puts out the correct amount of voltage, everything works as it is supposed to but for instance when I put the emergency flashers on to back up the engine rpms go up and down with the blinking, hard to explain but I believe it has something to do with an alternator that wasn't built with the standard alternator parts that the better alternators get built with but yet gets by.
*Spend the extra money and buy Ford Motorcraft electrical parts is what I do now.
