2015 6.2L FlexFuel - A pesky mouse has eaten a hole in my fuel rail 90 degree fuel quick disconnect. Ford dealership wants me to buy the complete fuel line but all I need is the replacement elbow. Will any replacement work? Or since I have the option of burning a more caustic flex-fuel option does the elbow need to be a certain proprietary part? I know with flex fuels the fuel line is more robust to handle the more corrosive fuels. The only marings on the elbow are DNX42. Currently, I have scabbed in a replacement elbow just to keep running, but I’m wanting to fix this correctly if possible. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Do you see those tiny little teeth marks?
Also, you may want to take a trip to the depot and pick up a gallon of peppermint rodent repellent spray (it's near the bird seed). I recently had issues with little squirrels, and then I sprayed this stuff in my wheel wells and engine bay. They have stopped coming by since. The downfall is that your truck will smell like a tube of Crest toothpaste.
