Let us know how you make out; hopefully just a battery but it sucks to have one fail this early on your brand new truck. I've had zero issues even down to -5 deg. F.
Why lead acid vs. agm? I've been moving all of my batteries to agm when the time comes. My 2017 had the lead acid batteries and both drivers and passenger side corroded the positive cables so bad, I had to get them replaced (the cables) under warranty.
There is just no benefit to spending more money on a maintenance free battery when over the years ive had very little issue with leaking lead acid batteries and I pre trip my trucks and equipment before each use anyway to spot issues like that before they run away. I do see the AGM benefit for those who don't perform their own maintenance or open the hood between oil changes.

Oh, I gotcha. I do my own maintenance and treated the terminals on my 2017, but eventually, the corrosion was just too bad—I had to let the dealer take care of it. So far, I see no gas seepage or leeching with the AGMs. It's worth it to me—I hate that type of stuff.
AGM packs more plates for higher capacity over FLA batteries. They have a higher capacity and "should" last longer. Key word is "should" because they used to, but so many batteries made today are crap. I had a pair of Red Top Optimas, from way back when they first hit the shelves and I had let them drain to practically nothing but was able to restore them and they lasted another year until I got rid of the truck. Who knows what they are doing to batteries that they drop cells instead of just wearing down.
I made note of the replacement battery and will see how long it lasts, hopefully longer than the few months I owned this truck. They also ran the TSB on my compressor and it checked out. Hopefully it remains intact.

Were your terminals split at the case or just leaking out the fill covers? Ive seen split terminals really leak a lot but otherwise the fluid level in the battery would have to be overfilled to leak that much out the fill covers. Almost all my fill covers have a slight weep around them but like I said im in there almost daily inspecting so I wipe the case around the covers every few weeks.
Is it true the 2023+ diesels are fitted with AGM from the factory?

My 19 weeped around the covers but I blame that on all the bouncing it did. My 24 is full AGM.

Hopefully in your case you didnt just get another defective battery. They probably only replaced the one instead of both?
For sure there will always be a little weeping from the forces of normal driving sloshing the fluid around. Having a severe enough leak to corrode anything on top of the battery though is not normal and either an overfilled battery or crack in the case somewhere.
The passenger battery was replaced. He said it is the most common battery to be replaced. They had to pull it out of a new truck since a replacement would take a day to get.
