I brought my truck to the dealership and got it diagnosed for cold start/no start. They informed me my ficm was bad. Being mechanically inclined and reading numerous upon numerous threads on how to resolded so I tried it. Resolded reinstalled and the truck fired right up (hadnt ran in 5 days). Drove it all day ran perfectly. Got up the next morning wouldnt start. heard I could resolder a second time so I did. Reinstalled and 2 cranks she fired right up. Drove all day started and restarted 15 times or more throughout the day fired perfectly. Got up this morning and nothing, wont start. What can possibly be happening over night where it wont start? Makes no sense. Need some advice please
There can be more things wrong with the FICM than just solder joints. Did they possibly give you the codes when they diagnosed the truck? Also, did you check the voltage according to procedure?
Ya know they didnt give me a code. Wonder if its on my paper work they gave me. they did say there was low voltage on all the injectors. Yes did the test after it wouldnt start the first timeof resolded. zero sitting there, 49 key on, 20 while cranking. Then I resoldered the second time and she fired right up and havent checked it since the second no start. Sure its probably the same reading as its acting he same. Just hard to believe that it runs that well and just sitting over night it wont start the next morning. Its not like it cold here. Night lows arond 50 or so. Thanks again.

Sounds like you have failed electrical parts that the soldering might not fix OR you have something else loose that you might not have found.
just bought an 03 f350 with 6.0L It's hard to start in the AM, it stalls then runs really rough till it warms up, i am gonna test the FICM any other sugjestions
do i just put voltmeter on the battery, do i need to test it while cranking, is there a way i can test my alternator, in the past i have taken them off and brought them in to get bench tested
Swamps or php would be my choice...DO NOT buy one from ford its not worth the price, plus the ones from those two dealers will have a better performance increase

I'm having the same problem, 27.2 VDC with key on. I had a cab lift 3 wks ago for Y-pipe, EGR delete. Put a new starter on also. All the harness from the cab to frame/engine dept. were unplugged to lift the cab. Could 1 of these plugs be a problem?

Check the FICM ground wire also, but I would say with 27.2 V your FICM is toast and needs repaired or replaced.
