AMP Step Problems
Hey I’ve got a 2015 F-250 with a pair of Amp steps. I love them and have been working great for the years they have been on the truck. A couple weeks ago they stopped working. I checked the fuse and it had popped, so I replaced it and got them to go down, but after that no worky. So I tried some simple troubleshooting with no results. I ordered a new module, and that didn’t fix it. After some tinkering, I got both the new and old module to work in reverse, but only if the main nine pine harness was plugged in. If I plugged in the small harness it wouldn’t work again. I have tried every way to plug and unplug the module, put in the fuse, and unhook the battery. I can’t get them to work normally. So today I swapped the polarity of the motors. They work, but with one problem, the timing is off. The normal shut door delay happens when I open it. So if I open the door it takes a second to deploy, and then if I close it they retract immediately. They again only work with the nine pin harness connected, so I have no lights either. I have tried contacting amp multiple times and cannot get a hold of them. Does anyone have any solutions? Thanks. If any clarification is needed please ask.

Hey guys,
my Power Steps work like they should,
EXCEPT the Delay is reversed.
Open door, takes 2 seconds for them to go down.
Close door, they go up Instantly.....
I have emailed them for instructions, and nothing, no reply, just the automactic email that says " we will get back to you asap "
that was a week ago... they don't service their customers, period.
