I installed Power Steps today. A pretty straight forward deal. Got everything where I needed it, inserted the fuse and hear the steps activate. Both step retracted. Here's the problem. The passenger step drops when I open either driver side door but the driver side step doesn't drop. The passenger side doesn't work with passenger side doors open. I've double checked all connections and reconnected the little piercing connectors to be sure I have a connection. I don't like those connectors by the way. Has anybody done their own and needed to do a little troubleshooting to get things working?
I will call AMP tomorrow but I have a Dr.s appointment in the AM so until I can get to AMP, just looking for a little insight if there is any out there.
Did you check to make sure your truck has the correct amp part nymber/steps?
Good call. Dammit!! I bought the boards from Americantrucks.com. They market one part number fitting 20-22 F250s. AMPS website doesn't show a number for 22. What a pain.
2022 went to the Sync 4 that's why it took so long.
The new power steps just got released a couple weeks ago, part# 76242-01A.
I had to peel back a little wire for the posi-lock connectors to make contact with the wire.

Thanks for that information. I have an exchange set up now from American Truck. I loved the way the steps smooth out the look of the truck. Without running boards it looks lifted. Didn't realize how clunky the OE boards made the truck look. It's got to run a little bit quieter without running boards sticking out in the wind.

Love the way they look on our F350! Good luck! Hope you get it resolved quick!

so is amp making steps for the 22s now I am getting conflicting information. Amp them selves say they are not finished with the 22s yet.
stocks running boards can help from doors banging the truck in parking lots. other than that, i plan to change out to AMP's when they are back in stock. I cant find any for my 2020...looking for the extreme set
