Hey folks,
I posted a thread last week-ish about my new-to-me 2015 F350 XLT SCLB SRW. I've been chasing down some of the smaller DTCs and got quite a few of them resolved already. I have a small handful left and would love to have y'alls input on these. As far as I'm able to tell, the truck is bone stock.
First up:
PCM Code: P207F - Reductant Quality Performance
Status (-58):
- Previously Set DTC - Not Present at Time of Request
- Malfunction Indicator Lamp is Off for this DTC
- Test not complete
I think this one I can mostly ignore? "Not Present at Time of Request". I wasn't able to clear it with FORScan though, and "test not complete" seems less than ideal.
ABS Code: U0137 and IPC Code: U0137
Both of these say they can't talk to the Trailer Brake Contorller.
Do I just swap the module? Is there a way to tell if it's shot or not? I was going to check voltages at the 7-pin connector, but I'm not sure if that will tell me anything about the controller itself. I checked the related fuse (I think, anyway) and it's fine.
IPC Code: U0159
Lost Communication With Parking Assist Control Module A.
I'm guessing this is why my reversing sensors don't work? Do I also just replace this module? Similar, I checked this one's fuse and it was also fine.
P207F came back enough to light up the CEL now. I'm wondering if I just need to siphon out the DEF that's in there, and put new in. I know the truck sat for at least 5-6 months before I bought it, and the previous owner only drove it about 7k miles in 2 years. Does that sound reasonable? I don't know how much is in there, and not sure how long of a siphon hose I'd need.
I might've fixed both the TBC and Reverse Sensor DTCs.
I had checked what I thought was the fuse for them in the passenger compartment (#31). However, what I really needed to check was #35. Feeling dumb but I'm glad it's fixed now. Now all I have left that's popping up is the P207F. I'm going to try to siphon out what I can this week and drop in 2 gallons of brand new DEF, and hope it clears after a few drives when it flushes through. Since I won't drive enough in a year to use a full tank of DEF, I'm thinking that I'll just put 2 gallon in at a time and refill to that when I get the low light.
Ah, crap. Well, TBC is fine (at least, so far, without being hooked up to a trailer). Reverse sensors seemed OK, but, now faulting again. At least I'm getting a new DTC now though. I don't super care if these end up working or not, I'll eventually be wiring up cargo and reverse cameras, but would be kind of nice to have fully functional.
