I learned today that my 2017 F250 has a remote open window function, didn't know that was a thing. Looks like after I parked it last night I bumped the key buttons in my pocket in the right way to roll the windows down. Of course there was a half inch of rain overnight so things got soaked pretty good. I saw where this had been covered in the past but thought I'd share how to disable this function in case anyone else wants to disable it before they get their seats wet too.

Starting in the menu go to Settings > Advanced Settings > Vehicle > Windows > Remote Open (uncheck the box)

I had the same thing happen to me 7 months ago. I was lucky it wasn’t raining. I’ve never used this function so I will disable mine. Thank you.

 

You can't just bump the button to make this feature work. You have to press the remote unlock button to unlock the vehicle and then hold the unlock button again for a few seconds to make the windows go down.

 

I learned that in 2018 with my 17’ f350. Pocket did me in

lost an sks and beretta 92fs as a result in broad daylight in busy parking lot…

then i learned how to turn that crap off
