On my truck, built on 10/18/16 the on dash options for remote access only show "Remote Open" for the windows.


I was able to read PDF of 3rd edition of the 2017 owner's manual and it shows option of "Remote Open" and "Remote Close" It's on Page 113

What's up with this? Is this something Job 2 trucks have but Job 1 doesn't?

 

I don't know the answer to that but I do know that it can be turned on using forscan.

 

I turned mine on with Forscan. Press once and then again and hold till you see them going down. Press and hold lock to send back up again. Nice feature when it's hot as ***** out I you're walking up to the truck, let's all that stale air out before you hop in.

 

I need to get in on this forscan thing.

 

Can someone link me to a page to order the necessary port to program fore scan myself?

Did not know you could close the windows, too.

Probably only the front two. They are the only ones with the one-touch open and close.

This is an option in the dash menu of my XLT so I would think most all trucks would have it out of the factory

 

I believe they all have the option for remote open. But to remote close you need forscan to enable the option.

 

I only have the remote open option.

 

That's all anyone has unless you get forscan and enable remote close.
