My friends truck cranks but wont start no codes no rpm reference on the truck or scanner changed the crank sensor with lots of choice words in between still no start checked fuse 27 would the inertia switch make it have no rpm signal or does that just cut the fuel? Where else should I be looking?
Check the fuel pump control module above the spare tire. Corrosion gets to them. Also on the fuse 27 issue, it's the fuse block that holds the fuse that goes bad or melts and most of the time the fuse is ok. What year and motor are we talking about here?
It is a 2014 f150 2wd 5.0 no mods not sure on the miles its not my truck as for the fuel pump module it is running when the key is turned on i dont see a security light anywhere on it I am going back over today with my laptop that has forscan in it and see what I can find out im thinking along the lines of the immobilizer system or computer
To repeat what B767capt said above, Fuse 27 is NOT the culprit. The fuse BLOCK the fuse plugs into is. Check that. This thread -> https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...l#post19195347. My pics are on the last page.
I pulled the fuse box all wires and connectors are clean and connected i check the blue and red wire it has power i cycled the fuel pump with scanner it comes on and off no problem i sprayed starting fluid in still no start I have hooked about 5 different scanners to it nothing for scan showed the immo system locked i got pictures from forscan ill post them in a few
These are from forscan looks to me that the immobilizer has the truck locked down unless im ready it wrong also no crank reference last time I seen this it ended up being the computer am I wrong in thinking this way

You need to charge the battery, it's below 12v and that is a recipe for electrical gremlins. Ideally you want 12.5-13.5 not running. Your pic shows 11.66-11.77v.
The truck was being cranked when I took the picture I do understand the importance of the voltage I do have over 30 years working on cars this is just something I havent seen before and thought being a f150 forum thier may be someone who has dealt with this before and could point me in the right direction thanks for the input though it is appreciated
30 years experience huh? Well I wont let my 40+ years experience disturb you any further except to say, there's a troubleshooting section with diag flow charts you need to follow in the shop manual. Once you have that you should be able to figure it out. Same info dealer tech's use, same info I used as a dealer tech.. many moons ago.
I personaly agree about the battery. I left work one day, mine would crank with no start. It was throwing several codes, one was something with the brakes. It cranked great no issues but someone convinced me to change the battery, it fired right up. The original battery was put in a friends van, still running 8 months later, but it didn't have enough voltage to please my f150.
