Tie rod / Drag link
Tie rod / Drag link
I am replacing the tie rod / drag link and I noticed my set up has the drag link connecting to the R side steering knuckle and below that is where other tie rod is connected that goes to L hand knuckle. Is that type set up called a " y " type ?
Then a " T " type is where the drag link connects directly to the lower tie rod bar and not to the steering knuckle. I was wondering which is a stronger setup if im running 42" tires with a 15" lift ?

Don't trouble yourself with ANY factory steering setup for 15" of lift as it will always have bumpsteer and be janky.
Search the term "high steer superduty" and go with a setup where the draglink goes over the right leaf spring and connects directly to the steering knuckle.

Probably want to look at upgrading the steering gearbox and pump if you're wanting to try and control that much rubber. A little surprised one or both haven't puked their guts out already.
