@719F250 - Did you ever figure out how to get it working? Would love to find out what worked for you or if you abandoned the effort. Thanks.
Sure did! I initially made my own wiring harness to connect the two lights and switch to the factory connector. Limitless Autoworks had one for the '22 and older but nothing newer. Through discussions with them, they have manufactured a plug and play harness to work with the '23+ models. I have one and I believe it is better than OEM quality. Two bit changes with Forscan to enable and all is good.
You can always run a dedicated fused line from the battery. That’s what I ended up doing. This will give you added capacity and the ability to expand without overloading the circuit. I added some LEDs to the existing bed lights. Worked fine with the ignition off but the computer disabled it with the ignition on. The dedicated line resolved this.
Wow! Bright enough @Bugzilla46310 to be an operating room! Well done. Smart to put the switch near the opening.
I am trying to tap into the existing switch in the cab to turn on the bed lights. Since I don't have a cap, I'd prefer the OEM route. I think I see a harness in my future.
Has anyone figured out the forscan programming for the 2023+ trucks? I have a 2024 and swapped wiring harnesses with my buddy who is getting rid of his bed and i cant get the lights to come on. The button only makes the light on back of the cab light up.

@719F250 Any chance you could scan/photograph and upload the Limitless instruction sheet? I am mostly interested in where and how their harness interfaces with OEM.
I have a couple of their products (upfitter switch constant hot harness and the plug-n-play dually running light) and am very impressed with their quality and ease of installation.
I found 2024 Super Duty Service Manual but the part numbers are different that what I have on my '23. If someone wants the '24 service manual link, just let me know.
I don't have one as I was sorta the R&D on the new '23+ models. The harness from Limitless is as good if not better than OEM. To make the connection to the factory plug, two wires with the OEM terminals are added to the connector. There is an older video on youtube showing the process on a '21 or '22 I think. Pretty much the same, just a bit different connector. Two simple changes in Forscan completes the process.
Interesting thread. I have the swing case toolboxes in my truck, which block most of the light from the factory bed lights. With my last truck, I thought about trying to add lights to the front area of the bed but never got around to doing it. With my new truck, I plan to get it done. What I'd like to do is to tap into the power leads for the existing lights and use it to also power a small strip in the front of the bed. Certainly the factory power supply could support a couple of additional small LEDs...
