Adding OEM Power Running Boards
Has anyone added the OEM power running boards to their 2023-2024 yet? I cant seem to find any info on this. I want to add them to my 2024 lariat ultimate but not sure if the wiring is there. I know I will have to enable that option with forscan but are the boards themselves plug and play? Thanks

The wiring is not there. They can be added but you're going to have to be good with wiring and make your own harness or possibly purchase the harness from a salvage vehicle. It looks like the PRB's run into the Drivers Front Seat Module.

Not if you get the Blackout Package (BAP). It replaces them with fixed running boards. Kind of annoying as I would have ordered those too.

@xtreme1 I poked around under the driver seat and discovered at least part of the wiring is there. It's populated in the connectors going to the DSM as indicated in the diagram I attached. When it's not raining I'll pull the trim and kick panels and see if maybe they stuffed the other end in there or maybe under the carpet. I didn't take a lot of time tracing it and it could end at the large disconnect under the driver's seat but I know for a fact the wires aren't coming through the floorboard where you'd find them on a factory equipped truck.

I put a set of AMP Powersteps on my 23 lariat ultimate and they’re great
had another set on my old 21 and loved them too
also from what I’ve heard the one steps don’t function as well as the AMPs either due to how both steps always drop down no matter what door you open on the new trucks. With AMPs only the side you open drops which I prefer more.

need some help, please.
I just swapped my max recline seats with a set of standard. my truck has factory power boards. his does not.
i just realized my power boards do not work now. i figured I would just have to reset the setting, but i cannot adjust them.
then it dawned on me, remembered reading this thread, that the power board module was on the seat.
can we just swap modules?? how do I fix this??

My Tremor must be dang-near a unicorn. It has the Lariat Ultimate, chrome package and power running boards. It was special ordered and whomever ordered it got tired of waiting and got something else, apparently. I like the look and prefer the chrome bumpers and power steps, especially after several with painted bumpers.

Exactly what happened to me! Lariat Ultimate with Black Package Nixes the Power running boards! Hope your able to wire them up!

Added Power Running boards. Will not function??? Help
I added PRB to my 2023 Lariat F250. Wired to the DSM which is the PRB DSM. Had a shop turn on the running board option in FORScan. I can not get them to work. Anyone know what I might be missing?
