49 and first Ford.....maybe.
I want to be clear, I don't have the Ford YET.....I joined because I like to know as much as I can before I take a plunge. I MAY buy a 1982 Ford F350 dump truck. This will be used for my landscaping business, hauling leaves, wood chips, maybe some gravel, dirt, etc. I can't afford a new truck and I prefer an old, simpler design anyway. Manual shift and PTO dump bed operation are things I really want so those tend to lend towards and older truck anyway.
I'd like some advice is what I'm getting at. If I buy it I'll be here for more advice, tips, parts, etc. for sure!
I'm married, (got married 3 years ago) and my wife works alongside me. In my younger days I've been a teacher, fire fighter, ski instructor, salesman, and (for sport and passion) a skydiver. There was a time when I used to say "I only gamble with my life" and meant it.

No kids although we'd like to adopt. We live in a semi-rural area and love it. I am outgoing by nature, often starting conversations with complete strangers no matter where I am. For the most part, this works great for me. Love what I do but want to be able to do more.....hence the desire for a dump truck.
Eager to chat with everyone.

Be sure to check out the 1980 - 1986 Bullnose F100, F150 & Larger F-Series Trucks forum for information and help on the truck. Since it is a PTO-drive dump bed, you'll probably be able to get some help with that there as well.
Welcome aboard!
