Engine Replacement
I have a 2004 F350; 5.4l v8, manual transmission, 200k miles
I’d like to size up the motor but struggling to learn of easy-ish options. Ive replaced motors, so familiar with the process. I use the truck for snowmobiling and tired of climbing hills in 2nd gear. Is there a relatively simple swap to something with more power? Current engine runs ok, has a bunch of deferred maintenance and a leaking head gasket (plus frustrated with the lack of power), so the repair costs may be lead to a replacement regardless.
Anyone know of some options?
I figure anything is possible, just looking for a simple option. Appreciate any direction.

Your'e looking at a wiring harness, possibly an entire transmission (maybe can just put V10 clutch kit in), motor mounts, and more. A lot of threads on this, but I've had the 5.4('99 Expedition) and now that I've got the V10 (F250) i'd say it's truly an upgrade worth researching/pursuing. Especially with your manual transmission.
Example search of 5.4 to 6.8(V10) swaps:
