03 7.3 Excursion Rough Idle, No Power Throwing Five Codes
I have an 03 Excursion 7.3 with 230,000 miles that will start but has an extremely rough idle and will not accelerate at all. I have a Bullydog GT tuner that is reading codes P1316, P1247, P1248, P0470 and P1211. I took it to a locally respected diesel mechanic and he said that basically it could be either the IDM or I could possibly need to replace all of the injectors. The IDM is about a $750 dollar job and the injectors with new harness is about a $3500 to $4000 job. When I start it up it will idle normally for a few seconds before the rough idle kicks in. I had rather not just go throwing money at this thing without some idea of what the actual cause may be. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Your IDM is either shorting or getting wet somehow.
Regardless, it's more than just codes, you need to take the time to run tests, monitor data, and know what you're looking at.
