I have a 96 E40d behind a 7.5 (gas) 2x2. Will a 97 f350 E40D (looks the same) fit the 96?
You can see the case mating area where trans mates to the engine is a little different, is it just an different case or will it not work. Thanks Case is flush (97 E40D) Case front is not entirely flush, looks like it was made lighter than the other. (96 E40D)
just to be clear, if you zoom in on the trans case on both….the top (‘97 yr) mating surface is FLUSH and SOLID all around but the bottom trans mating surface is NOT entirely flush (like the case mating surface was milled so as to remove weight)
