Anyone have any experience with Full force Diesel up pipes? I've been wanting Clay's, but my wallet and my financial manager (aka Wife) have me exploring other options. I know you get what you pay for and I feel bad cheating on Clay since I only order from him. I've read FFD have had issues being too short, holes not tapped in the collector. I will be pulling the motor since it's easier and I'm going to be doing oil pan ( previous owner jb welded the dipstick to prevent leaking obviously did not fix oil leak.) And since the sealant needs to sit for 24 hours with no oil. Also planning in replacing oil end plugs while it's out.
kinda figured that would be the case. Has anyone used the black dipstick adapter from riff raff or again should I just go with the golden nugget?
Buy once, cry once. Many stories on here about people trying to save money and just ending up doing the job again later with the quality part.
I have installed a couple of the @Riffraff Diesel Dipstick Adapters and they work well. Huge quad seal oring, and larger flange nut for better sealing.
If you are going to pull your oil pan I would do these as well.
I just installed the cheap $30 dipstick adapter. I was hesitant but really didn't want to spend 300 plus. Gave it a try and it works. Usually you do get what you pay for though and the money I have spent on this truck I can't go top dollar part Everytime.

Uppipes I would only want to do once and far easier with trans out. Mine are RR. If extreme budget, I have read new donuts and rerounded uppipes work for a good while.

Yeah, I agree you get what you pay for which is why I'm so hesitant lol. I would like to just have boat loads of money sitting around, but being a dad of a 3 year old girl being a one income household with mortgage, insurance, ect, doesn't leave much pocket jingle left. Might try the 30 dollar adapter and the riffraff up pipes. Quarter bonuses help with parts though lol

yeah even though funds are tight I think I'll stick with RR set havnt had ANY issues so far with anything else from them and with up pipes you are 100% correct I'd rather only do them once.
Missed engine out. Slippery slope bro. Do valve springs while out. Beyond easy then.
I would do the weld on dipstick deal if pan off. TA31 to reseal. New LPOP.
yeah kinda worried about that lol. I just worried cause i live in Illinois so rust galore. I already replaced the lpop with a mellings when I did the harmonic balancer. I was also planning on doing springs because I know the 7 cylinder is a PITA

Not the $300 one, if the pan is off upgrade to this one from Riffraff Diesel.
Also recommend to machine flat exhaust manifolds while engine out.
i mean might as well, Kinda debating on just tearing it down and having everything machined heads, block, maybe port and polish also, valve guides pressed in. Also depends on wallet lol.
