I parked my 2024 F250 Lariat 7.3 today and received a message on the dash "Check Brake System" and I clicked "OK" and the word BRAKE remained illuminated. Turned the truck off and returned to it later.
Had another ABS Module DTS from Oct 11 U0146 - Lost Communication with Serial Data Gateway Module "A"
The illuminated BRAKE is no longer displayed, so I'm wondering how often do you all see messages like this that come and go. Are there temporary glitches or should ever message be addressed by a dealership?
Temporary codes come and go, IIRC they can't really be 'reset.'
Stored codes are codes that may have happened, but either not enough to trigger a CEL or set a CEL but then the condition disappeared so the CEL turned off.
'Permanent' are ones that set a CEL and the condition is still happening.
That said, these are brake codes and can be different. Also you have a 'lost communication' code, which would tell me you've got either bad wiring or a loose plug and should investigate that first.
To answer your question, though, yes I've had lights get triggered then go out after a cycle or two, and then when I checked for them later there were 'no codes found.' Like your home computer, vehicle computers sometimes have errors and just need to reset and they're fine. And with multiple computers interacting with each other, the chances of those errors increases.
