I'm considering replacing the 34-gallon F350's fuel tank with a 58-gallon tank from Transfer Flow. Can anyone comment on whether this change will void any or all of the Ford factory warranty?
It could affect the fuel system warranty, and I suppose they could make a case for things attached to the fuel system.
But, I haven't heard of anyone having any warranty issue.
I doubt they would even pay any attention to the larger tank if you have to bring the truck in for warranty work, unless it is fuel tank related work.
No, it will not void anything because it does not supply fuel directly to the engine. All it does is transfer fuel from the aux tank into the main tank. That's like saying that using a gas can would void your warranty. The only thing you need to consider is if the area you live in allows gravity feed fuel transfer. As some don't, you need to install a fuel pump that will pump the fuel from the aux tank into the main tank. I ran a 91 gallon in my 2002 for 15 years or so. I started out with gravity feed and after a few years, switched over to a holley fuel pump mounted in the bed with a switch on the dash.

I am pretty sure he is referencing the 58 gallon tank for the gas engine SuperDuties. They completely replace the O.E. tank. I do not believe you can lawfully run a transfer tank set up on a gasser.

He is talking about a replacement fuel tank, not an auxiliary tank.
Sorry, I see transfer tank and went with it. In regard to replacing your stock tank, it appears thousands have done it and no reported problems with a warranty issue reported so far from what I have seen.

I'm pretty sure you're correct, you cannot have any gravity transfer tanks on a gasser. I'm not sure pump ones are allowed either, unless it requires you to actually get out of the vehicle to pump the fuel from the aux tank to the main tank. Something about gasoline being more volatile than diesel is.
