I bought new cab mount brackets from LMC. Started new thread about them.

I've replaced the cab mounts. Back to the steering column. What does this ring do? Does it hold something in place? Thanks.

C-clip fits in a shaft groove .... maybe above the top bearing.

I don't understand where the square head bolts go. Do they somehow go into the slots that are in the collar? Or, do they go in the square area located in the back of the collar flange? The square head bolts fit perfectly there. Thanks.

I did this in the truck while sitting in the seat, so I found a small pocket magnetized pickup tool of help pulling the bolts in place through the alloy parts.
