97 f-350 351w missing problems

I have a 97 f-350 with a 351w. I have recently been having issues with the engine missing. It does not seem to matter if the engine is hot or cold it seems to do it when it is cold out like below 50 degrees. I drive it to school and it would do it quite a bit in the mornings but then in the afternoon it would do it maybe once. It is not a single cylinder miss either it seems like it is all cylinders at once for a split second and I can physically feel the truck lose all power and jolt as it misses. I did have a single cylinder miss from a lose plug wire and this is nowhere close to what that felt and sounded like while driving it. It mainly does it under load like if I am about to go up a hill and I give it gas it will continue doing it off and on up the hill unless I let off of it and have it low throttle up the hill then it rarely does it. It also does it when it I am just cruising along just once or twice. I usually keep the overdrive off unless I’m going over 60 but if I turn it back on and cruise at 50 in overdrive it is in much lower rpm’s and it never does it but if I stomp on it and it drops a gear it will start doing it. Like I said it does it if the engine is cold or if the engine is hot it seems to do it when the air temp is cold and it gets worse the colder out it is. I did not have this problem in the year prop in the winter and do not exactly know where to start other then plugs rotator cap and fuel filters but with my knowledge it does not make sense that those would be the problem as it only does it when it’s cold out. The plug wires are just a few years old and seem to be in good condition and I have recently replaced the ignition control module as it went bad. I just wanted to know if anyone has any ideas on what it could or if they have had this problem before. All help is very much appreciated. I would like to narrow down the problem as much as possible as I do not want to spend the money to replace a lot of parts. Thank you in advance for any help.

I have had and chased the same issue for about a month and a half.

THE NEW TFI MODULES ARE &%^*!!!!!!!

I had an intermittent miss with this module I had purchased from O reillys, and it would just worsen as the engine would run. Bought a different brand at the local parts store and then it would just die and not start up. Ordered a "motorcraft" one from rock auto same issue it would just die randomly. Went to a junkyard and pulled an original motorcraft TFI module and it fixed all my issues.

Something that helped me was watching the tach, when the engine would miss or stall the tach would die completely like drop down to 0 and then pop back up, or just stay down at 0 even if the engine was turning. All it gave me was code 212.
