I get a battery drain if I enable mine.

im on my 3rd set of batteries 2019 truck

my pax side seems to go out first then that pulls the drivers side into the gutter.

I added a thick battery cable from pax side battery neg to drivers side battery negative . That in itself gave me more cranking amps so also hoping charging will stay balanced. Bought a state of charge test or to monitor.

pax side battery ground was tested, cleaned, reinstalled but nothing obvious. There has been a lot of pax side battery failures lately.

I've been pondering the efficacy of adding some strategically placed ground straps. Anyone found that doing such is worth the money and effort?

Movement between the alternator and the frame is a different matter. The braid cable in your picture wouldn't be necessary. I'm not a fan of that type of cable because it doesn't support as many amps as regular cable at similar prices.

These straps are not meant to carry a load, but for interference grounding issues. They are used to reduce or remove alternator whine from radios and things like that, but not really meant to carry a load. You see them used a lot between body and frames.

Do you disable monitoring in the truck settings? Has that helped with battery life?

Did you figure out your issues with the batteries?
