If you clean your MAP sensor, DO NOT use a pick, screwdriver, etc. That's a $100 mistake. Ask me how I know.

I'm guessing it goes in the engine ?

temps in the filter exceed temps needed to passive regen …so the filter is in constant regeneration and burns off the soot.

With out this filter….the egr system is constantly injecting your intake with soot.

What does that do to underhood temps?

So, it looks like you still need to take it apart to clean the spacer as that will get just as junked up as the original sensor as they basically share the same location.

IAT is before the EGR flow....I wonder what kind of temps are going into the intake with the erg/exhaust heat

Just installed my Banks spacer. I couldn't believe how clean my MAP sensor was. Apologies for the slightly out of focus pic, it looked fine on my phone, but when I viewed and cropped it on the computer turned out to not be the case...

The buildup around the hole was very light, didn't take much to clean. Sprayed some electronic cleaner into it and dried it out with compressed air.

Not too shabby for 75K miles, with 53K miles accrued since having the SPE CCV bypass and internal catch "can/cheese grater" installed. So, I reckon that actually does help keep things clean. I'll pull it again in 15K miles and see what it looks like then.
