OK, i just finished my lift. i put a 2.5" hanger kit in the front with a 2" trac bar relocator bracket to put it back in line. and i put ford 4" blocks in the rear.
Now im getting some bump steer. and im stumped. the sway bars at stock location
i have looked at alot of kits some come with longer sway bar end links and some don't are they needed?
so basically its all in the trac bar as far as the bump steer. i was thinking about the dual stearing stabilizer. aslo what about a new pitman arm is it needed for 2.5 " lift?
Bump steer is the toe-in or toe-out of the front wheels as the suspension goes from normal ride height through full bump (suspension system moves up) to full droop (suspension system moves down). Bump steer affects handling much as setting toe-in does. In other words, Bump Steer is when your wheels steer themselves without input from the steering wheel. The undesirable steering is caused by bumps in the road interacting with improper length or angle of your suspension and steering linkages.
I run longer swaybar links on mine, it's not good when the sway bar binds. As far a a stering stabilizer goes, it only comes into play when roads are bumpy or when trails are rough, they take the jolting out of the steering wheel. IMO,The dropped pitman arm will help the most, but I don't know if one is available for a 2.5 lift
