Trying to determine what trans I have in my 65 F250. Its automatic. The warranty tag says "G", but I believe that's just saying its automatic. I have some numbers and letters stamped on the trans case:
C5TP 7A040A. Trying to get a filter kit for it. It has a 352 if that makes a difference. Thanks everybody for any help you can send my way.
Summit needn't be your first choice for most common parts as nothing special about the filter or gasket, but beware, some aftermarket brands are made poorly and the filters don't quite fit right. Should be able to get them at any parts house or rockauto, etc. That being said, typically they are a mesh type filter that can be cleaned and reused. I would also recommend adding a magnet to the pan if one hasn't been already.
