I'm looking for an enclosed trailer for transporting and storing a tractor in.
The enclosed portion of the trailer needs to be 7-1/2' - 8-1/2' wide x 20' long and I need a GVWR of 12k - 14k. lbs.
The enclosed car hauler trailers I've been looking at are designed for lighter weight vehicles; the ramp doors are rated for 3k - 4k lbs. The tractor currently weighs 6k and if I add fluid in the tires it'll gain another 300 - 500 lbs. A ramp capacity of at least 7k would be nice.
Can anyone recommend any good brands or dealers in the Minnesota, North/South Dakota, Iowa, Wisconsin area?
ATC builds a good trailer. All aluminum. Their toy haulers doors will support a 4-door Jeep, so if their car hauler trailers have the same door you should be GTG. I have one that I've put well over 30k miles on in the last 5-6 years. It is 18+2 x 102 wide, empty weight around 3300#. I special ordered it to haul some weight as I used it in my business in occasion. At least 72" between the wheel wells. I could give you the exact measurements if necessary. Mine has barn doors because of the multiple uses when I bought it so I drive my SXS in there on portable ramps. We've actually had our 4-door Wrangler in there too. Hope this helps. Good luck in your search.
Edit: The sticker has load range E tires but I upgraded to load range G tires plus the appropriate rims.
Depending on on your budget the cheapest option is going to be something like a Cargo Mate 20' enclosed with tandem 7k axles. I had a month window to purchase my 20' trailer and I wanted a 14k GVWR but in 2021 nowhere had inventory and everyone told me that a 7'+ interior and 7k axles was going to have to be a special order. I just drove through TN, KY, IN and MI and saw a lot of inventory at every trailer dealer.
It is possible to find a 20' or 24' with tandem 7k axles but you might have to search quite a few dealers. It was about $14k-$30k last time I priced out a plain 20' 14k enclosed trailer.

Thank you both for your input. Looks like I'm going to have to do some traveling and/or special order one to get the capacity I need. I haven't been able to find one within 200 miles
Is anyone familiar with Nationwide Trailers? They have a Des Moines, Iowa location that's less than 400 miles from me.....wonder if they're worth the drive?

I had an ATC car hauler for a couple of years and the rear door clearly said 4K vehicle weight. Sold it so I don't have a picture. It wouldn't fit my F150's inside, too narrow between the foot boaxes and escape door was in the wrong place. Otherwise, it was a GREAT trailer, towed like a dream.
I ordered an Intech earlier this year and had a reinforced rear ramp door built on it, It is rated for 6000# Vehicle - One Axle on Ramp at a Time, 14K GVWR. It is also technically overwide at 103 1/2 inches and has a extra wide rear door and ramp to enable me to get my Saleen F150's inside. The dealer I talked to about an ATC was not willing to do some of the customizations I wanted like 22 foot long rampovers so I went with Intech instead. It's a monster and was NOT cheap but it does what I need it to do....

If I were to replace the ATC Intech would be on the top of my list. They build a great trailer. Looks good too. ATC got fat & happy and just wanted to sell you what they wanted to build somewhere around '20. I was thinking about selling mine and getting one with the ramp door. No dice, they wouldn't add EOH Discs even.
From what I understand, Intech was started by ex ATC guys. Makes sense as they are located close by. Post a pic of that beast.
Trailer and the beast that goes in it most of the time. It was designed mostly for the 2 f150's but also for my mustangs. Its really too big for the mustangs but it's a tight fit with the F150's inside. Hence the curved mirrors I have on the walls so I can see how close things are driving in or out. My tow vehicle was ordered with the 360 camera package and the customer placed camera which we sent to Intech and they installed the camera and wiring when they built the trailer. Save me HOURS of trying to figure out how to install the wiring afterwards lol. Again, not cheap but do it once and be done with it...
