Bilstein 7100 valving question?

Do any of you guys (ROLLNXL) know what valving to go with a v-10 dual up front single in rear with a 10-11" lift. I looked on eshocks but wanted to be sure before I go and do everything! I also figured you guys have done a few before! I may lean towards the bilsteins instead of the foxs! another question! which shocks are better the fox or bilsteins?
thanks again for all the help!

Bilstein 7100 valving question?

sorry about the late reply HIROLLN,,,i've been busy,,,,anyways the valving that you should get is 170/60.... can't really say to much about fox shocks because i haven't owned any to give an opinion,,,i've drivin a truck out in the mud with some fox shocks, and they pretty much were the same,,,felt a little stiffer, but that could have been due to many other factors as wellll..... all i can say is that i've beat on my truck to try and break it and the 7100's haven't given me any problem's..... plus, i think they look cleaner on a double shock mount!!!!

Bilstein 7100 valving question?

that's the valving that you should use all the way around,,,,you can use 12" travel ones in the front, but if your buying them new you might as well get the 14" travel, so it gives you the option of using them if you go bigger.... if you do any off-roading i'd suggest using some limiting straps up front....

Bilstein 7100 valving question?

wow that's a good question abendx,,, i've never ran into that because almost everyone with a 10" or bigger lift run dual shocks in the front.we don't recommend a single shock in the front for that size lift..i'd probably have to get back to you on that...i'll be at ORU this weekend so i'll ask the question.....good to see that your around abendx,,,alot of us have been stirring up the pot at the other website since you've posted your apology and farwell....

Bilstein 7100 valving question?

opps sorry abendx,,,i meant to give you a positive rating, but i forgot to switch it to positive, so it posted neutral....

HIGHROLLN said that he was ordering 6 shocks,,,so i guess we don't have to worry about a single shock in the front...

rolln.

thanks man!! what happened over there was bs! donahoe and me get along... it is his marketing that i don't buy... but that is another story... as we bickered along... we were talking suspension (what the thread was questioning in the first place)... and in my opinion a lot of good talk on suspension! as far as offline emails tell me, donahoe enjoyed that last round of debate that himself and me were having. i enjoyed it too. i am no softee nor is he when it comes to a little name calling, etc... what happened is the mods censoring posts and it is their place to do so, but i won't hang out in a place like that.. but i digress.

that would be great on the shocks. i am not sure what i plan to do shock wise when i go up with a hanger... could be double bilstein 5100s or 7100s... but an idea on singles would be good to know.

thanks!

If you have read the replies to your departure post over there you will see you are getting plenty of support from the members.

I expressed my views in 2 posts in that thread and see from your post here that I was pretty much right on in what your feeling were in this matter... Even though I had not talked to you about it. Obviously I think you should come back and be able to express your opinions with out any more censorship than any of the rest of us.

rottn.... yes i have looked and appreciate all the support i have gotten there. who knows who complained... i seriously doubt it was donahoe as me and him have offline discussion all the time... i also doubt any members complained.

i would bet the mod there looked at the post... saw one of his PAID sponsors going through a heated debate and pulled the plug so he wouldn't lose his PAID sponsor.

deleteing the post and slapping my hand for having an opinion was a problem for me and it shows that that website isn't an open one. the mod there has the right to do what he did as it is his website, but u will no longer see me there as i need to be some place where a healthy debate or arguement or whatever can go on ... if i recall, even tho we were hashing it out with one another, we kept the thread on subject talking suspension!

it is all ok tho... my loss there is a gain here... where i belong! it is better for me to stick to my 'family' here... no matter how single branched this family can be!

and btw.... thanks for the comment on why i should be bitter! lol.... shouldn't u be bitter now... you stole the best one i had ever had!

oh... to make sure this thread stays on topic.... monsta, do you recommend double shocks up front due to the weight of your mistress???
