Rattle accelerating
i replaced the plugs and checked the rocker arms and they looked ok. I’ve watched YouTuber fordtechmakeuloco many of times so I figured too check those rockers.
the metal shrouds and clamps that hold them too the catalysts I have mostly removed due to them rattling right when I bought the truck and they were corroded and trash so I will try too see if something is wedged in thier or try to replicate a rattle in some way.
From this end, it is REALLY hard to know what rattle this could be as I am sure you know, it could be dozens of things.
I will share what has happened to mine here & there so maybe it helps, or it doesn't.
I assume you believe this is an "external" rattle meaning you think it is outside the engine.
Before I replaced both cats, 1 of them had a shield rattle & I am pretty sure the media in the driver's side cat was bouncing inside.
After the cats were replaced & things "loosened" up, the lip of one of the new cats was so close to the frame rail that it would make a VERY noticeable rattle & you could feel it.
You mentioned you already looked at the exhaust manifolds / gaskets. Those metal gaskets can make some really annoying noises once 1 or 2 of those manifold bolts breaks.
There is a very large heat shield above the muffler under the bed & the brackets can get rusted causing the shield to bounce on top of the muffler.
I am sure there are many others, but these are just a few that have annoyed me over the years.
