I think the key to that procedure is indicated in JWA's pics: radiator, condenser, & all the goodies in the front will likely need to be removed for you have have room to work.
I know it's a totally different animal, but I wouldn't even think about similar actions on my E-450 without removing A LOT!

Thanks for replying!
That seems pretty much what I thought. I replaced all timing components and oil pump,water pump...2 yrs ago...did it without removing radiator etc....it was tight. If I replace heads ...I'll pull whole front clip.Lol!....THANKS AGAIN!!!!!
