charging system indicator light test????
i know this is probably a stupid question, but what is the charging system indicator light? is it something you buy or is it in truck? '77 f-100. it looks like something i need to try. thanks.

Sounds like you are refering to the "idiot" light, which comes on when the battery voltage is higher than the alternator output.
If you have an ammeter this isnt installed on your truck.

thanks, sparkey. thats what i started thinking it was. i'm not worried about that but they had a series of test involving it that i thought could help with problem. 'course i can do all that and much more with my volt meter. thanks
