I had my 2017 Ford F250 Super Duty XLT 6.7 Liter diesel leveled last week with a Rough Country 2" leveling kit with drop down track bar bracket. Now, I am wanting to do something on a tire size change just as soon as my present tires are worn completely out which won't be long. I am looking at going to a LT295/65R20 tire which is a 35.1" tire. Most likely going with Toyo Open Country AT III or the Nitto Terra Grappler G3.
When I change the tire size can my dealer re-calibrate the truck computer and put in this size tire so that my speedometer will be correct? Also, all 4 of my TPMS sensors are gone out, I'm guessing the batteries have crapped out in each of them. Do I go back with OEM or has anyone had success with an aftermarket sensor?
Forscan. Watch a YouTube video. You’ll have it done before you could drive it to a shop.
Also with that much lift look for a taller 295/65/20 if possible. Some get up around 35.5. Or a 325/60 or 35x12.50 on aftermarket wheels. But would look great with a 35.1 295/65/20.
If you have any right pull do +2.3 passenger side and +2.0 DS caster shims.
I am running that exact tire size on my 2019. A few months back I finally said WTH and made the necessary adjustments in Forscan. Watched some youtube videos first and took my time. In the end it was a piece o' cake.
