np435 id tag deciphering
I bought a np435 off of marketplace a while back (i know probably not the smartest purchase). and i just now unburied the id tag and was curious what it said, as far i can tell it reads "F(maybe E)3TA7003 VA FE3(or 5)6 II 4 83 435." i haven't found anything for decoding this but maybe i'm missing something obvious

I believe you would have to find a NP site to break down the numbers as Ford bought the trans from NP for the trucks.
I dont think the NP435 had different gear ratios like the T18 but I could be wrong?
The last numbers could be a date 4 (April) 83 (year) and the type of 435?

There were Dodge & GM version NP435 transmissions but yours having the E3TA prefix shows it was originally from a Ford truck. Here's some general info....https://www.novak-adapt.com/knowledg...ual/np435.html
