6 volt or 12 volt system

I picked up a 1960 f100 with a 292 YBlock. someone at some point had been trying to rewire everything. all I'm trying to do at this point is see if it will crank before I start digging into it. the engine turns by hand and the spark plugs show normal wear. my problem is, is it a negative or positive ground and is it a 6 volt or 12 volt system. there's no tag on the generator and the starter is a "Frankenstein" not original. help...

Welcome to FTE. Hope you enjoy your truck. Pics are always welcomed. Ford trucks have been 12 volt negative ground since '56. I take it there is no battery in it?
